Nine years ago, Transconverter developed and released IP3 M1 power supply source for the power supply system of the oceanological vehicle.

IP3 M1 power supply source is meant to convert “stationary” single-phase voltage of 220 V, 50 Hz to the voltages necessary to power airborne avionics of the oceanological vehicle.

IP3 M1 power supply source contains a deck AC/DC converter and a DC/DC converter set on the underwater vehicle.

A deck AC/DC converter converts the “stationary” single-phase voltage of 220, 50 Hz to the voltage of 990 V DC, which is transmitted via a 1000 m cable to a DC/DC converter installed on the oceanological vehicle.

The DC/DC converter is used to convert a voltage of 990 V DC to a series of voltages of a given DC level.

DC/DC converter has two output channels:

– output channel 1 with nominal voltage of 150 V, which is used to power electronically controlled drive motors;

– output channel 2 with nominal voltage of 24 V, which is used to power scientific research electronic device.

The maximum total output power of the power supply source is 2,6 kW.

The developed IP3 M1 power supply source is successfully operated by Russian Academy of Sciences Experimental Design Bureau of Oceanological Engineering.
