In November, 2014 the construction office of JSC Transconverter completed the development of the new version of PS70 UHL4* converter designed for benchmark tests of asynchronous traction motors mounted on power trucks.

In the new version the bench-top converter has remote-position control fitted with touch-screen. By means of touch-screen an operator can set, register, and select algorithm of acceleration and braking modes of asynchronous traction motor under test.

Maximum output power of developed converter is 120 kVA.

Since 2010 PS70 UHL4* are successfully used on the enterprises of JSC “Uralskie Lokomotivy” and JSC Siemens.
