On 19 April, 2005 OOO “Transconverter” was created 5 years ago. Its cofounders are the group of companies “Transmashholding” (Russia) and “Siemens AG” (Germany).

At the present time OOO “Transconverter” is a specialized high-technology enterprise that can solve any problems in the field of converting technics for railway transportation from idea to serial output.

In the short time of its existence OOO “Transconverter” together with Siemens AG (Germany) designed four types of auxiliary converters. They are:

– PSN80 Y1 for electric trains produced by ОАО «DMZ» (certificate number ССFZhT RU.ZT03.А.05415);

– PSN235 Y2 for cargo electric locomotives series 2ES4K produced by OOO “PK “NEVZ” (certificate number CCFZhT RU.ZT03.А.05046);

– PSN100 Y2 for passenger electric locomotives EP2K produced by OAO “Kolomenky Zavod” (certificate number CCFZhT RU.ZТ03.А.06790);

– PSN50 Y1 for coaches produced by OAO “TVZ” (certificate number CCFZhT RU.ZT02.А.05807).

At the present time more than 130 auxiliary converters produced by “Transconverter” are operated successfully on the Russian railways including the Moscow Railway, the West Siberian Railway, the North Caucasian Railway and South – Ural Railway.
