In May 2021 Transconverter set about producing two traction charging devices ZUT105 01 Y1 for locomotive type EKA 05 powered by batteries.

The charging device ZUT105 01 Y1 is meant to convert 825V DC voltage of the underground contact system or a three-phase voltage 400V 50 Hz of the depot electrical network into a regulated DC voltage that is necessary for charging/recharging of traction battery with rated capacity 1040 amp hour and nominal voltage 560V installed on the locomotive type EKA 05.

The maximum output power of ZUT105 01 Y1 is 105kW.

The charging device is installed under the electromotive body EKA 05.

A CAN bus is provided for an information interchange between the charging device and the control system of electromotive upper level.
